Air Drop

This week in DIE I learned how to AirDrop. Understanding AirDrop: The invisible file drop.      AirDrop is a wireless file-sharing feature developed by Apple Inc. that allows users to quickly and securely transfer files between Apple devices. Introduced in 2011, it has become a popular tool for sharing photos, documents, links, and more. You can also use this feature without email, messaging apps, or physical connections.  How AirDrop Works:      AirDrop combines Bluetooth and WiFi to create a peer-to-peer network between nearby Apple devices. When two compatible devices are within range, AirDrop detects them and allows users to send files directly. The process is encrypted, ensuring privacy and security. Benefits of AirDrop: Speed, Security, Convenience, Cross-device compatibility. Transfers are quick for larger files. No need for cables or cloud uploads. Files are encrypted.      The only drawback is that it only works across iP...

Creative Blog 1 - Doesn't Anyone Wear Yellow Anymore?

Blog 1 Creativity Caffeine For The Creative Mind Page 263 Doesn't Anyone Wear Yellow Anymore?                     Since 1903, when the first box of eight colors hit the market, crayons have been filling the papers of most children.          This is a creative challenge for the young at heart. What child doesn't love to color..?  Crayons are the beginning of a life   filled with color and art. Those eight colors have paved their way into some of the most fun we have ever had. Introducing color into our worlds. Today we are going to revisit those eight colors.  GRAB YOUR CAMERA!! Your task today is to take a picture of something that is one of the crayon colors. You should take at least eight pictures. One for every color in the box. RED, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, BLACK, PURPLE, AND GREEN! The picture should be framed in such a way tha...

Digital Imaging Editing (DIE)

BLOG 1 Digital Imaging Editing (DIE)          This is Vette from Vette's View. Hello, all the creators out there. This is the new class I am taking. I have to jump right in and say this is going to be a challenge. DIE is the process of improving or changing a photo using software. I've learned that a little bit of editing can go a long way when used correctly. Some of the tools used to do editing, I think, are going to be useful:           CROPPING- to focus on the best parts of an image.          REMOVING OBJECTS- (or blemishes) for a cleaner look                    ADDING EFFECTS- like blur, text, or filters                              These are some tools I feel will be used the most in my pieces. Small fixes like removing red-eye or cropping out unwanted parts ...

What I learned GDT

What I Learned In Graphic Design Theory Before I took GDT, design was all about making things look pretty. But now I realize it's way more than that. It's about how to make things work to get a message across clearly and creatively. One of the things I've learned is visual hierarchy.  What people notice first! I've learned how to use color, shape, and size to guide the reader's eyes to where the message's importance lies. Kinda like a roadmap..Big and bold to grab attention, and smaller stuff comes later. I've also learned about color theory.  Colors aren't just pretty; they make people feel emotions. Red for excitement or love, or blue for trustworthy or calm. In turn, it sets the mood of your theme. Using typography is another thing I found interesting. That's all about the fonts used in a piece. Never realizing the impact of a font is interesting. Using personality threw words. WOW right! There are so many jacked-up ways to express yourself. Then...

Fairground

Image
Hello, my creative readers..I had a lot of fun with this one. I had to make a poster for an upcoming event. I chose to do it at the Repticon Show happening in Orlando in December. Getting certain things to pop out on this background was a little tricky. I have learned to use the colors to work together to draw the eye, making it easy for the eye to read the important information first. I am very proud of myself for learning about these skills and being able to use them correctly. Thanks for reading. Keep creating..
