Doesn't Anyone Wear Yellow Anymore?
Since 1903, when the first box of eight colors hit the market, crayons have been filling the papers of most children.
This is a creative challenge for the young at heart. What child doesn't love to color..? Crayons are the beginning of a life filled with color and art. Those eight colors have paved their way into some of the most fun we have ever had. Introducing color into our worlds. Today we are going to revisit those eight colors.
GRAB YOUR CAMERA!!
Your task today is to take a picture of something that is one of the crayon colors. You should take at least eight pictures. One for every color in the box.
RED, BLUE, YELLOW, ORANGE, BLACK, PURPLE, AND GREEN!
The picture should be framed in such a way that the color in question is completely dominate., it should take up most of the frame. There should be no question what color the picture is for.
THANK YOU, CRAYOLA!
My color pictures:
BLUE: Portable fold-out chair
YELLOW: Pooh Bear's Body
ORANGE: Can of carrots label
GREEN: Plant waterer
PURPLE: Boa from my Halloween costume
BROWN: Garbage car on the back porch
BLACK: The laces in my tennis shoes
RED: Pooh Bear's shirt
This creativity challenge made me realize how many shades of those colors there actually are. I would look for something blue and end up taking pictures instead of just one picture. Giving myself more options to choose from. I ended up with 2 oranges, 3 yellows, 2 blacks, 2 purple, 4 blues, 3 reds, 2 browns, and only 1 black.
I thought this challenge was fun, and it made me realize how many shades there are to basic colors. Happy creating!
